We are delighted to invite you to the IX International Peach Symposium, held under the high patronage of the Romanian Academy - Section of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Sciences (ISHS) and Romanian Society of Horticulturists  (SRH). The event will be organized by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Faculty of Horticulture, between 2 July and 6 July 2017 in București, Romania.

The Symposium will be comprised of plenary sessions, discipline focused sessions, workshops, poster session and sponsors display where delegates can formally present, promote and discuss their work and products with other delegates.

The event will include an optional one day technical tour (July 5) at the Research Institute for Fruit Growing Pitești-Mărăcineni. Two Post Symposium Tours will be organized in some major peach production areas in Constanța region and Danube Delta. For interested people a visit to the unique Carpathian Mountain Castles will be organized. In addition, the accompanying persons will enjoy some interesting tours during the Symposium.

The Organizing Committee is attracting the world’s leading Peach scientists across a number of disciplines, researchers and students from all Peach growing nations. For the first time at an International Peach Symposium, special registration fee will be provided for students. The Committee recognizes the high cost of travel to România and is endeavoring to minimize the registration costs for delegates. 

The Symposium will also present delegates with attractive social program where delegates can relax and get to know new friends. In typical Romanian hospitality, delegates will experience the culture of our capital and our country.

The social program will include a welcome reception party, a gala dinner, a visit at Village Museum and optional post Symposium tours to other regions of România. The symposium website includes information on registration and abstract submission, scientific program, venue, keynote speaker details, sponsorship and exhibitors opportunities.
